Sichuan has been known as the land of plenty since ancient times. For over 800 years the Sichuan cuisine has been famous, because the major elements in cooking include a vast range of mountain produce and freshwater fish. A distinct tradition to the Sichuan culture is the creation of its "tongue numbing" dishes. Their exclusive hot, pungent, and zestful flavor is brought out by a unique mixture of spices and condiments, such as red-hot peppers, garlic, and ginger.

A fundamental difference between Sichuan and Western style cooking is that Sichuan sautés their food. The key method behind sautéing is to use oil as a carrier, which enhances the cooking and flavor of the food. If you enjoy less oil, not a fan of spicy food, or have any other special needs or requests, we can prepare our food to meet your needs. Tell us in advance and we will be happy to accommodate you.

When indulging your taste buds in this unique food, our Chef, Liu, who has over 30 years experience in authentic Sichuan cuisine, highly recommends Mapo Tofu, Double Cooked Pork, Whole Fish in a Chili Bean Sauce, Tea Smoked Duck, Dry Sautéed Green Beans, along with many more. Sides that accentuate these dishes include noodles and dumplings.
